11th March 2023- 20th Anniversary Concert

Our 20th Anniversary Concert at the Munster Arms Hotel was a huge success, with a full house and a standing ovation.

The programme consisted of a variety of genres including rock music, classical pieces and movie themes. Bohemian Rhapsody and Crocodile Rock were some of the pieces which were very well received.

20th May 2023- Fundraising Day

We had a very successful fundraising collection in Bandon. Thanks to everyone who supported us.

A big thank you to Riverview Shopping Centre, Sentinel Fire & Security and Bandon Shopping Centre for facilitating us.

7th May 2023- Bridge Street Community Café Opening Bantry

Thank you Nuala Kenny and team for having our ensemble play at the opening of Bridge Street Community Café.

The café is in support of corkmentalhealth.com where they provide a space to chat for everyone.

We wish them the best of luck in the future!

23rd June 2023- Howard Court/ Riverview Shopping Centre

Our 2023 Summer programme got off to a good start.

Due to weather conditions, we relocated indoors to Riverview Shopping Centre, and we thank them for accommodating us.

This event was sponsored by Cork County Council, in partnership with Bandon Business Association.

23rd July 2023- Gardens and Galleries Festival

This was Bandon Concert Band's first appearance at the Gardens and Galleries Festival, and we thoroughly enjoyed performing in the yard of Barrett's pub, Innishannon.

7th August 2023- De Courcey Harvest Working Day

We were delighted to have suported the De Courcey Harvest Working Day 2023, and their charity partner Cork Stroke Support.

A great day was had by all!

12th August 2023- Skibbereen

We had lovely day in Skibbereen.

This event was sponsored by Cork County Council, and in partnership with Skibbereen and District Chamber of Commerce.

25th August 2023- Riverview Shopping Centre

It was a pleasure to perform in Riverview Shopping Centre. Thanks to everyone who came and supported us.

2nd September 2023- Ballymodan Place, Bandon

We thoroughly enjoyed performing in Ballymodan Place at Bandon Farmers Market.

2nd September- Bandon Community Hospital

We were thrilled to be able to entertain the residents and staff of Bandon Community Hospital.

It was a beautiful summery day.

9th September 2023- Official Opening of Bandon's New Playground

The official opening of Bandon's amazing new playground was a great success, and we are delighted to have been part of it.

Special thanks to the Bandon Playground Group for inviting us to perform.

16th September 2023- Recruitment Day

We had an excellent recruitment day, it was great to meet everyone, and we were delighted with all the interest.

22nd September 2023- Culture Night

Culture Night 2023 was a major success with a great variety of events in Bandon. We were delighted to have played our part to a full house in the Town Hall.

The Full Irish event celebrating Irish music, language, and poetry was very well received, concluding with great audience participation in a sing-along to "Galway Bay."

Special thanks to Colin, our fluent Irish speaker.

We also introduced our new bass clarinet on our Culture Night performance. This instrument was grant-aided by Music Network Ireland through their Music Capital Scheme. It really added depth to our sound in "Skyfall."
